Zulu Battlefields

KwaZulu-Natal Province is densely packed with well known battlefields that commemorate the extensively documented Anglo-Boer War (Britain – Boer Republics) and Anglo-Zulu War (Britain – Zulu Kingdom).

The Battle of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift (Anglo Zulu War) and the battle of Spionkop and the Siege of Ladysmith are some of the best known in British and South African history.

There are dozens of other sites from these wars, and other conflicts in the province. Many of the battlefields are relatively close together and easy to visit.

Expert guides are available.

Many of the battlefields also have small museums.
